Initialize the simulation settings shared by all simulable objects.

Parameters:
  • t_sim (float, optional) – Simulation duration in ms.

  • dt (float, optional) – Simulation time step in ms.

  • record_V_mem (bool, optional) – If True, record membrane voltage.

  • record_I_mem (bool, optional) – If True, record membrane current.

  • record_I_ions (bool, optional) – If True, record ionic currents.

  • record_particles (bool, optional) – If True, record particle states.

  • record_g_mem (bool, optional) – If True, record membrane conductance.

  • record_g_ions (bool, optional) – If True, record ionic conductances.

  • loaded_footprints (dict | None, optional) – Precomputed extracellular footprints indexed by electrode ID.
